With a wonderful dog comes great responsibility. I think it is worth reading the RSPCA website if anyone can offer a dog a home. One such dog is being presented netwide as we speak. We are all in search for a wonderful owner for him. Ben is a lovely playful dog who has been in the RSPCA for many many months. Liz Miller features him here. Ben is a golden oldie at seven and a lovely hound. Liz says as follows

One of my favorite movies is Snow Dogs. It is a silly little jaunt down the snowy land of huskies. I am totally dog mad from calenders related to huskies to a total belief that there is a lovely owner in the world for each rescue dog. Dogs are often so much better company than people. They can also be therapeutic . Pets As Therapy is a group that takes advantage of that. I think there is a great deal of reward in being able to look after a pet of some kind. Firstly, dogs tend to get you out to the park and secondly they do alleviate loneliness in many people. The University of Portsmouth's study can be read here.
"Ben is cool and by association, you too can be cool. If you think you could give him a home"So Ben could be a great companion for the right owner. More on the golden oldie can be found here. No dog should be without a good home and I am sure someone out there can afford to look after Ben. So please contact the RSPCA and adopt Ben if you can. RSPCA Tel:

The results are as follows
"The dog walkers surveyed reported that the exercise gave them a better overall sense of well-being as they often met like-minded people, leaving them feeling happier.
Participants in the psychological study also found that even if they were feeling low, they always felt better once they were outside.
Whilst older dog walkers found that the exercise helped them stay physically fitter and maintain social contacts, it also encouraged children to venture outdoors and spend less time in front of the television, according to the report"
